PAPA DAVE – A MAN OF MANY HATS

I wear a lot of hats: Husband, Father, Papa, Pastor, Teacher, Writer, Singer, Chef, Dishwasher, just to list a few.  My life is a white-water rafting adventure on a miraculous journey, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.  It’s got some challenges but far more rewards.

For over 35 years, I have been married to my best friend, Andie, and we have two children and six grandchildren.  We are both involved in the area of education. I work with Riverside Middle School in Springfield, Vermont, as the Special Education Case Manager. In addition, I am the professor of English and director of the Writing Center at Northeastern Baptist College in Bennington, Vermont. Recently, my wife and I have begun consulting with educators by offering professional development opportunities to school faculty and staff.

The most important thing in my life is my relationship with Jesus Christ.  You can see my story on the BLOG page. (https://wordpress.com/post/bigdbentley.com/42) I love talking about what God is doing in my life and the world around me. I have been involved in various forms of church ministry for nearly four decades in several different locations.  I serve as the teaching pastor of First Baptist Church in Wallingford, Vermont, the state’s oldest Baptist church. My hobbies are as varied as my hats. Camping, photography, music, and card/board games are my favorite “downtime” activities.

Blessings!

Papa Dave
